About Us
UKG, based at our centre in Ringwood, delivers high-quality, personalised Alternative Provision for young people aged 11–18 who are unable to access or thrive in mainstream education.
We provide structured 1:1 teaching and small group learning, combined with experiential education and targeted pastoral support. This approach enables learners to make academic progress while also developing the personal, social and emotional skills needed for long term success.
UKG Learning offers Alternative Provision for young people who are not currently thriving in mainstream education. We create a safe and supportive environment where each student can rebuild confidence, re engage with learning and develop the skills needed for their future.
Our approach is flexible and tailored to each individual. We work closely with families, schools and the young person to create a programme that meets their needs and supports steady and meaningful progress.

Imogen Sayer
Director of Teaching & Learning
“Every young person deserves to feel understood, supported and capable of success. Our aim is to create an environment where they can rebuild confidence and take positive steps forward.”
At UKG Learning, my role is to ensure that every young person receives a high quality education that meets their individual needs. I work closely with our team to create personalised learning plans, support staff development and maintain a consistent and supportive approach across the provision.
Our aim is to:
Re-engage young people with education
Improve wellbeing and confidence
Support progression into further education, training or employment
Successful Outcomes
Everything we do is geared towards a successful outcome for the young people in our care. Whilst each plan is tailored to the individual, here are some of the typical outcomes our alternative provision achieves.
Improved Learning Outcomes
By using personalised teaching approaches and smaller learning groups, we help young people rebuild core skills and improve academic performance. This leads to increased confidence, stronger attainment and a greater sense of achievement.
Social and Emotional Wellbeing
We support the development of emotional wellbeing through mentoring, structured support and a consistent environment. Young people build resilience, confidence and stronger relationships with others.
Engagement and Attendance
Our flexible and supportive approach helps re-engage young people with education. This often results in improved attendance, increased motivation and a more positive attitude towards learning.
Positive Future Pathways
We prepare young people for their next steps through vocational learning, life skills and guidance. This supports successful progression into further education, training or employment.
