Driver for
Alternative Provision
Help young people start their day in a
safe, calm and positive way.
We are looking for a reliable and caring driver to support the safe transport of young people attending our Alternative Provision in Ringwood. This role plays an important part in helping students arrive ready to engage in learning, while ensuring a high standard of safeguarding, professionalism and care at all times.
The Role
As a driver at UKG Learning, you will be responsible for safely transporting students to and from our provision, their homes or other agreed locations. You will play a key role in creating a calm and positive journey, building trust with young people and supporting their overall experience with us.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely transport students to and from the provision and agreed locations
- Plan routes effectively, considering traffic, weather and student needs
- Build positive and professional relationships with students
- Promote calm and respectful behaviour during journeys
- Follow all safeguarding procedures, including safe handovers
- Carry out daily vehicle checks and report any issues
- Maintain accurate records including attendance, incidents and mileage
- Respond appropriately to behaviour using de-escalation strategies
- Keep the vehicle clean, safe and welcoming
- Follow all road safety laws and company policies
- Communicate effectively with staff, families and professionals
