Provision Teacher
Deliver personalised education and help young people re-engage with learning
We are looking for a committed and adaptable Alternative Provision Teacher to support young people who face barriers to mainstream education. This role focuses on delivering tailored learning, building strong relationships and helping students achieve meaningful progress both academically and personally.
The Role
As an AP Teacher at UKG Learning, you will deliver personalised teaching to individuals and small groups, supporting students with a range of needs including SEND and SEMH. You will plan and deliver engaging lessons, both on-site and in the community, helping learners rebuild confidence and develop the skills they need for their future.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver 1:1 and small group teaching tailored to individual needs
- Plan and adapt lessons to support differentiated learning
- Support students with SEND, SEMH and additional needs
- Deliver learning both on-site and off-site where appropriate
- Carry out and manage risk assessments for off-site activities
- Support literacy and numeracy development
- Work towards EHCP outcomes where applicable
- Deliver life skills and practical learning sessions
- Manage behaviour positively and maintain a safe learning environment
- Build strong, professional relationships with students
- Support careers guidance and attend external events where needed
- Track and record student progress, session reviews and incidents
- Maintain accurate records in line with data protection

What We’re Looking For
- A qualified or experienced teacher with a flexible approach
- Strong ability to engage and motivate young people
- Experience or understanding of SEND and SEMH needs
- Confident behaviour management and communication skills
- A calm, patient and resilient approach
- Willingness to adapt learning to suit individual students
- Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle preferred
