Applicants must be suitable to work with children i.e. not disqualified from working with children, or subject to any sanctions imposed by a regulatory body and has no convictions, cautions or bind overs, or is willing to submit details of their record in a sealed envelope marked ‘Confidential’ and sent to Head Office for review.
Applicants will be required to complete an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check using original certificates and forms of identification, which applies to anyone aged over 16 years of age living in the house. In processing your application and as part of our Safer Recruitment policy we will need to share your information with a third party agency called Eurocom CI (https://www.eurocomci.co.uk/) who we use to undertake DBS checks as an essential part of our screening process. The information Eurocom CI gather will be handled in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998 and the General Data Protection Regulation 2016. Eurocom’s privacy policy can be found here
Applicants will be required to submit details of people who they have known for a minimum of two years and can be contacted by UK Guardians' Head Office to provide reference details.
